Welcome to Willow Glen

Willow Glen’s historic downtown makes you feel as though you stumbled onto a movie set. Dubbed “San Jose’s Local Treasure,” the lively stretch features locally owned eclectic shops, sidewalk cafes, and colorful vintage signage.

Named for the willows that once grew in the wetlands between the Guadalupe River and Los Gatos, Willow Glen has evolved from fertile farmland into a walkable suburban city population 65,861 with charming tree-lined avenues and large homes in a perse range of architectural styles. Styles range from Victorian and Neoclassical to Spanish Eclectic and Craftsman most with unique custom design elements.

The community’s feel continues in its enthusiasm for events. Dancin’ on the Avenue, an annual street party that celebrates local musicians, food, and wine is a favorite amongst residents and visitors alike. Christmas season is particularly festive in Willow Glen. Each homeowner decorates a small tree for their front lawn, making the whole town twinkle like a winter wonderland.

Willow Glen is a part of the San Jose Unified School District, which allows them to benefit from an excellent public school system. Conscious of its environmental impact, the school system partnered with Chevron Energy Solutions and Bank of America to establish what is believed to be the largest solar power and energy-efficient facilities program in US K-12 education. Could this place be any more perfect?
